With a name like Arcade Dad, is it any surprise that we play allot of games? Currently we are focusing on Board games and the like. We also do a fair number of RPG’s and Strategy games.
Board Games
- Lego has put out some fun games, the main one we play is “Minotaurus”. Everyone takes turns building a maze, and then we move through it to fight the Minotaur. Its really simple but a ton of fun.
- Lego also put out one called Heroica, that I have heard good things about but haven’t had the chance to buy yet. (Expect a review soon though!)
- Talisman! Always a good time when playing this. We have changed the rules a bit to help Arcade son, but Arcade Mom and I still play seriously and its a blast
- Dark Future – Now this one is a shade different, the point of the game is to move cars around a track and to be the “Last Man Standing”. Arcade Son loves the game, but we don’t do any real combat, we just build the tracks and then roll dice to move.
RPG’s
- Iron Kingdoms, by Privateer Press. I really cannot speak enough on how good this world is or the Company is. Steampower, gunpowder, Necromancy, and the Divine might of gods war across Immoren. By far the most well rounded and put together world in Table top gaming to date.
